Jose called me up one day and practically shouted into my ear, "I'm getting married! Can you come to Mexico?" Naturally, I said yes.
A few weeks later, we had an engagement shoot all over East and Downtown LA where the two work and live.
The two met at church (this very one) where Jose is the pianist and Lydia sings. We tried to reenact the moment they first noticed each other. They could hardly keep a straight face.
Jose made it very difficult to capture these more serious moments.
Eventually, I gave up and started laughing, too.
At this point, Jose became a little tired and hungry. Lydia was finally able to catch her breath from all that laughing.
We headed to Elysian Park for a little change of scenery. We all got a teeny bit hungrier, but it was so beautiful that we couldn't stop shooting.
I adore these two. What a beautiful couple!
